The sixties is one of my favourite decades to look back to. Full of optimism, youth, and legends like Edie Sedgwick and Andy Warhol. Both of whom fascinate and inspire me.
"Trend is the thing that inspires us. Wear clothes that you dream about instead of wanting to stand out of fit in or make an impression. Dream of who you are and wear it in high school. I used to denim legwarmers, ugly tshirts, jnco raver jeans, hemp necklaces. And I felt like myself. I wasn't trendy. Don't be scared to try new things. Go into old memories, dress like you did when you were ten. Dress like your favourite movie characters wear funny hats paint your faces wear ugly out of style shoes that you still love or hippy sandals. Dye your hair any colour you want wear huge tshirts don't brush your hair for weeks pierce your nose your eyebrow your lip for fun it will grow back. Try something from your Mom's closet. Tie three flannels around your waist paint things on white hanes tshirts paint your bags with sunshine cartoons and new Mexico symbols. Rubber band feathers into your hair knot chains to denim jackets re-lace your shoes with polka dot fabrics get your friends to kiss you all over your face with red lipstick tell everyone 'I love you' and see what they say. Don't be afraid to be made fun of. Fashion is just creative minds dreaming and bringing it to life. Each designer is a nerd because he is not afraid of how he looks.Have fun being you... it only happens once." Wildfox.♥
